LINC classes are free and are offered to eligible clients. LINC is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
For the purpose of LINC, an eligible client is someone who
- is a permanent resident or
- has been allowed to remain in Canada and is a person to whom Canada intends to grant permanent resident status (Convention Refugees included), or
- is a visitor who has been admitted to Canada under the Live-in Caregiver Program
Free Child Care is also offered to clients under the LINC program. This is however subject to availability of space.
Free Tokens are also given to eligible clients, again subject to availability.
LINC classes offer the learning of Basic English and cover the 4 skill areas of SPEAKING, LISTENING, READING, WRITING AND COMPUTER LITERACY.
The curriculum involves topics which help clients learn about aspects of the Canadian way of life and covers basics such as banking, places of interest and the weather. We offer LINC levels 1 to 5.
