IMMIGRANT SETTLEMENT AND ADAPTATION PROGRAM (ISAP)funded by Citizenship & Immigration Canada
|
ISAP services are provided free for newcomers to Canada. To be eligible for ISAP services a person must be either :
- a permanent resident of Canada
- or an individual who has been allowed to remain in Canada and to whom CIC intends to grant permanent resident status (including a Minister's Permit holder or a person who has received special permission to remain in Canada for the purpose of becoming a permanent resident)
- or a non-immigrant foreign domestic worker in Canada who may subsequently apply for permanent resident status from within Canada under the terms of the Live-in Caregiver Program or the former Foreign Domestic Movement Program)
ISAP SERVICES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING :
- Translation of immigration related documents from Tamil, Sinhalese, Arabic, Azerbaijani, Dari, Farsi, French, Pashto and Russian languages into English. Only original documents will be translated.
- Assistance in applying for Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP), Employment Insurance (EI), Child Tax Benefit etc.
- Assistance in filling Sponsorship, PR Card, Citizenship, OHIP, SIN and other immigration applications.
- Certification Services by a Commissioner of Oaths for certifying true photocopies of identity documents, translations, invitation letters as well as signing pictures and applications for PR Card and Passport.

Every Wednesday between the hours of 10:30 and 12:30 Commissioner of Oath, Mr.V.S Thurairajah, who is also the president of TESOC offers FREE certification services for our clients.
His services can be used for certifying true photocopies of identity documents, translations, invitation letters as well as signing pictures and applications for PR Card and Passport.
He is available every Wednesday between the hours of 10:30 and 12:30 at 1160 Birchmount Road, Unit 1A

** Please bring original copies of all necessary documents that prove your status in Canada.
